Geneva – The ten leading merchandise traders remained unchanged in 2018, with China, the United States and Germany leading the way (see chart). Collectively, the top ten economies represented 53.3 per cent of world trade. The top five leading economies accounted for 38.1 per cent of total trade, economies from fifth to tenth place accounting for 15 per cent.
